Marc Levitan Receives the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) Kiesling Award

Presented this year to Marc Levitan of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), recently the (Acting) Director fo the Nation Wind Impact Reduction Program.  Among many accomplishments, Dr. Levitan also served as the Managing Director of the Wind Engineering Research Laboratory at TTU, studying wind effects on full scale buildings.  Dr. Levitan attained his B.S., in Architecture and Civil Engineering in 1985, M.S., in Civil Engineering in 1988 and his Ph.D., in Civil Engineering in 1993.  Dr. Levitan was joined at the ceremony by his wife Lillian, his children Hannah and Ivan, parents, David and Sue Levitan and his sister, Lynn Martin.
