Nightingale College of Nursing Case Study Packet 2009
Case study packets illustrate the Baldrige Award application and evaluation process. Each packet includes
- a Baldrige Award application showing a fictional organization’s responses to the requirements of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence
- a scorebook produced by a team of Baldrige Examiners, who evaluate the application against the Criteria
- a feedback report modeled on the report received by actual Award applicants
- an executive summary describing the case study’s components and use
Case studies show you the format and general content of an Award application. To serve as an effective learning tool for Baldrige Examiners and others, however, the case study may not address all areas of the Baldrige Criteria or demonstrate role-model responses in all areas. See the case study scorebook and feedback report to learn how the fictional organization scored and to see its strengths and opportunities for improvement.
