NIST Hosts CIPM Consultative Committee for Amount of Substance: Metrology in Chemistry and Biology (CCQM) Working Group Meetings.
A joint meeting of the CCQM Working Groups on Organic Analysis and Bioanalysis is planned to take place at the NIST Research Campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland October 19-20, 2015 to bring together members of both working groups for their biannual meetings.

Meeting organizers are suggesting the following hotels.
Washingtonian Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland:Washingtonian Center (www.riowashingtonian.com) is approximately 3 miles (5 km) from NIST and is a pedestrian-friendly suburban shopping/dining/hotel complex. Hotels in Washingtonian Center do offer shuttle bus service to the Shady Grove Metro (subway) station on the Red Line that are arranged through the hotel. Travel time between Washingtonian Center hotels and downtown Washington DC is approximately 75 minutes via the hotel shuttle bus and the Metro Red Line.
NIST will operate a morning shuttle bus service from the Marriott Washingtonian Hotel and NIST on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday and provide the return trip back to the Washingtonian Center in the evening.
Bethesda, Maryland:Bethesda (www.downtownbethesda.com and www.bethesda.org) is located approximately half-way between NIST-Gaithersburg and downtown Washington DC. Bethesda is well-known for its abundance or restaurants, bars, and shops and is very pedestrian-friendly. Bethesda has a Metro (subway) stop which has direct access to both the Shady Grove Metro stop in Gaithersburg and Washington DC on the Red Line. NIST will operate a morning shuttle bus service from the Shady Grove Metro station to NIST on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday and the return trip from NIST in the evenings. Travel time between the Bethesda Metro stop and NIST via the Metro red line and shuttle bus is approximately 35 minutes. It takes approximately 30 minutes to travel from the Bethesda Metro stop to downtown Washington D.C.
Dupont Circle, Washington DC:Dupont Circle (www.washington.org/topics/dupont-circle) is a vibrant, urban neighborhood in Washington, DC, with many restaurants, bars, museums, and shopping opportunity. There is a Metro (subway) station located in Dupont Circle on the Red Line which connects directly to the Shady Grove Metro station near NIST. NIST will operate a morning shuttle bus service from the Shady Grove Metro station to NIST on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday and the return trip from NIST in the evenings. Travel time between the Dupont Circle Metro stop and NIST via the Metro red line and shuttle bus is approximately 65 minutes.
If you are not registered, you will not be allowed on site. Registered attendees will receive security and campus instructions prior to the workshop.
