In anticipation of our 25th Anniversary, we reflect on events of the last two and a half decades that significantly impacted the global economy, manufacturing, and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership. MEP has taken its cues from the lessons of global opportunities and challenges, and the daily changes of our client base. The program's value and effectiveness will be measured in the impact of our services and the evolving tide of progress and growth of our clients.
MEP is a nationwide system that helps manufacturers maximize their potential and grow their businesses. What started as a small program with only three centers 25 years ago, has now developed into a nationwide network of manufacturing assistance centers in each state. The MEP network includes more than 1,300 technical experts focused on solving manufacturers’ biggest challenges and identifying opportunities for growth. MEP centers are a diverse network of state, university-based, and non-profit organizations that offer products and services that meet the specific needs of their local manufacturers. Each Center works directly with local manufacturers to provide them with a wide array of fundamental services from innovation and technology strategies, to process efficiency improvements, to green manufacturing.
For the past 25 years, MEP has been helping manufacturers grow and succeed. Our Heroes for American Manufacturing Series, highlight the incredible innovation, determination and work of U.S. Manufacturers.
