Postdoctoral opportunities are available to join a collaborative research team building a new program in microfluidics-small angle neutron scattering. The project involves the design and use of micro-slit rheometers compatible with simultaneous neutron scattering measurements. In addition to experimental work, development of analytical modeling methods for anisotropic scattering data (typically resulting from flow induced alignment) is desired. Initial research efforts will involve studies with model surfactant and polymer systems.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields. Experience with designing microfluidic devices and/or small angle scattering is desirable but not required. Candidates should have a strong background in fluid mechanics and rheology.
