The Forensic Science Program in the NIST Law Enforcement Standards Office is hosting its first three day symposium entitled "Forensics @ NIST 2010" to take place December 6 - 8th, 2010. The mission of the Forensic Science Program at the Law Enforcement Standards Office is to be the premier resource for forensic science standards in the U.S. through research, development, testing, evaluation, outreach and advocacy. The purpose of this special program is to provide an opportunity for National Institute of Justice (NIJ) program managers and other relevant federal agency staff to obtain informative and detailed information on each Forensic Science and Digital Evidence project that has been funded by NIJ at NIST. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about other fascinating NIST capabilities at a poster session on the various areas of expertise in Unit's individual laboratory programs.

This event will be open to all federal agencies as well as any interested forensics practitioners. Registration is free for all attendees.

See conference web site for agenda.
