Physical Interrogation Methodologies

Leveraging the penetrating nature of ionizing (x and gamma rays, neutrons) and non-ionizing (terahertz) radiations, materials and systems can be physically analyzed non-destructively. Using the knowledge and techniques developed in the fundamental metrologies that form the basis of the Division's activities, evolving radiation technologies are applied to the analysis and visualization of closed systems as encountered in advanced manufacturing delivery of health care, generation and conservation of energy, in homeland security.
