• Application status as of April 4th 
  

  We received just under 600 student applications this year from 136 schools– a record! We are on track to have just under 190 students in the SURF program this summer. There were so many wonderful students that it was hard to choose and we wish that we could have placed more students. At this point, 99% of the offers are out with only a handful still to go.
  
  We really encourage students at this point to start seeking other internship offers.  A great place to look is at the National Science Foundation’s Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)  (keyword search “NSF REU For Students”  then search for an REU site.  Some of the REU site have later program deadlines.
