NCCoE receives recognition from Montgomery County for significant role in advancing cybersecurity awareness and education
On October 15, 2024, NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) was presented with an official proclamation by Montgomery County Executive Mr. Marc Elrich at the Cybersecurity Connections Event in Rockville, Maryland. This recognition highlights the NCCoE’s significant role in advancing cybersecurity awareness, education, and fostering career and economic development opportunities throughout the year.
The certificate was presented in celebration of Cybersecurity Career Week and Cybersecurity Awareness Month. During the event, Mr. Elrich emphasized the importance of cybersecurity across all industries and praised the NCCoE for connecting leaders, students, and future professionals.
