Following the completion of his Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Minnesota, Rob DeJaco joined the NIST staff as an NRC postdoc in the Applied and Computational Mathematics Division. Starting employment at NIST during the pandemic, he became interested in and began conducting research on PCR testing, while simultaneously dropping off his own tests at collection facilities. Rob now works at Compact Membrane Systems Inc. and is a guest researcher at NIST. In his free time, he likes to play soccer and maintain his lawn while his dog watches.
