Tina G. Butcher is a supervisory physical scientist in the NIST Office of Weights and Measures and is leader of the Legal Metrology Devices Program. Tina has served on numerous committees devoted to developing standards and test procedures for commercial weighing and measuring devices ranging from grocery store scales to electric vehicle refueling dispensers. She has developed and presented numerous training seminars and presentations on topics pertaining to weights and measures. Prior to joining NIST 30 years ago, Tina was a weights and measures inspector for the State of Maryland. She lives with her husband, whom she has worked with in the field of weights and measures for 33 years, and daughter in Frederick, Maryland where she is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family.
