The Ombuds Office is a conflict resolution support resource for the internal NIST workforce.
The workforce has access to the services and support of an organizational ombuds – an independent, impartial, informal and confidential resource – to address or resolve conflicts and challenges that may be taking time, energy and attention away from mission responsibilities.
Through voluntary consultation, ombuds provide information, guidance and assistance in developing options to address work and workplace conflicts and challenges. Ombuds attempt to facilitate outcomes that build trust, enhance relationships and improve communication within the organization.
Ombuds services are available to the internal NIST workforce only.
