Disaster Impact Reduction Office
Promotes U.S. innovation and competitiveness in areas of critical national priority by anticipating and meeting the measurement science needs for natural and other disasters. Carries out mission functions including functions of the National Construction Safety Team (NCST) and as lead federal agency for the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) and the National Windstorm Impact Reduction Program (NWIRP).
