November 11-12, 2019 ASTM F45 Committee Meeting

The ASTM International Committee F45 on Driverless Automatic Guided Industrial Vehicles is seeking your technical input at our upcoming bi-annual, two-day meeting on November 11-12, 2019, which is being hosted at the at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, United Kingdom.

This committee is producing a comprehensive and globally applicable set of performance standards and guidance materials for ‘automatic’ through ‘autonomous’ unmanned ground vehicles (A-UGVs) being used for industrial applications.

We need to understand current and planned future vehicle capabilities, as our standards may be relevant to your or your customers’ system requirements. As an expert in the industry, this is your time to contribute to the content of internationally applicable performance standards currently being drafted. Our aim for these standards is to address real industry needs, which means your needs, and the needs of other system suppliers, users, researchers and relevant trade associations or government-based organizations.

There are no restrictions on who can attend this meeting, you are not required to be a member of ASTM to participate and the meeting is free – no registration or participation fees to attend. You will need to cover the cost of your own travel expenses, and there is an optional fee of $30 which is collected at registration, that will cover the cost of your lunch for two days ($15 per participant, per day).

This committee is producing a comprehensive and globally applicable set of performance standards and guidance materials for ‘automatic’ through ‘autonomous’ unmanned ground vehicles (A-UGVs) being used for industrial applications.

We need to understand current and planned future vehicle capabilities, as our standards may be relevant to your or your customers’ system requirements.
