Wireless communication protocol standards such as 802.11 (WiFi), 802.15.1 (Bluetooth), 802.15.4 (ZigBee) are selected to be included as some of the physical interfaces. The wireless interface is to be working with the proposed IEEE 1451.0 interface to allow data-level interoperability of sensor data transmitted from the three different wireless protocols.
