This video shows a time lapse of the setup and execution of a structural-fire experiment conducted at the National Fire Research Laboratory (NFRL). Specimen CB-DA-SC is a 12.8 m long partially-composite beam, consisting of a lightweight concrete slab cast on 76 mm (3 in.) deep ribbed steel decking and a W18×35 steel beam acting compositely via 19 mm (3/4 in.) diameter steel headed stud anchors welded on the top flange with welded/bolted double angle beam connections and slab end continuity. The specimen was subjected to an applied load of 45 % of the ultimate bending moment (applied load of 106 kN (23.8 kip)) and a 4 MW fire.
