Brookhaven National Laboratory

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) is a multipurpose research institution located on the center of Long Island, New York. At Brookhaven, MML's Synchrotron Science Group develops and disseminates synchrotron measurement science and technology needed by U.S. industry to measure nanoscale electronic, chemical, and spatial structure of advanced materials.

Center for Hierarchical Materials Design

The Center for Hierarchical Materials Design (CHiMaD), located in Chicago, IL, is a NIST-sponsored center of excellence for advanced materials research focusing on developing the next generation of computational tools, databases, and experimental techniques in order to enable the accelerated design of novel materials and their integration to industry.

Center for Marine Debris Research

The Center for Marine Debris Research, located in Waimanalo, Hawai’i, is a joint institute between Hawaii Pacific University and MML's Biochemical and Exposure Science Group. Work here focuses on identifying the origins of plastics in the ocean, with a goal of informing better control of discarded plastics.

Hollings Marine Laboratory

The Hollings Marine Laboratory (HML), located in Charleston, SC, is a world-class research facility, with a mission to provide science and biotechnology applications to sustain, protect, and restore coastal ecosystems, with emphasis on links between environmental condition and the health of marine organisms and humans.

Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research

The Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IBBR) in Rockville, MD exists to foster integrated, cross-disciplinary team approaches to scientific discovery, translational development and education, and to create commercialization relationships and initiatives that serve the expanding economic base of biosciences and technology in the state of Maryland and across the country.
