The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) posted a solicitation for proposal that would perform research to advance fundamental understanding of disaster resilience in support of improved, science-based planning, policy, decisions, design, codes, and standards. This informational webcast will an opportunity to discuss the Disaster Resilience Research Grant (DRRG) program and have questions answered about this solicitation.
The DRRG program webcast is an opportunity for potential applicants to ask question related to administration of the solicitation, basic information on programmatic topics, and application preparation. It is strongly recommended that those interested in this solicitation review Section II, DRRG Solicitation prior to the webcast. Natural hazards that are of interest include, but are not limited to:
Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions via the Q&A feature of the event. NIST and NSF staff will be present to answer questions, live, during the event and a FAQ page will be launched post event to provide information to anyone who could not attend.
