Synopsis:
There are multiple learning pathways and credentials that lead to a career in cybersecurity. During Cybersecurity Career Week (October 14-19, 2024), we will feature individuals who are STARs – Skilled Through Alternative Routes. The STARs program, operated by Opportunity@Work, is establishing the conditions for employers to hire people based on their skills. This webinar will highlight the background and purpose of the program, feature STARs who are being successful as part the growing cybersecurity workforce, and spotlight employers who have shifted the mindset of talent development towards skills-based hiring approaches that will lead to a more skilled and diverse workforce.
