On April 12, 2013, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) hosted a workshop for DNA Analysts at its Gaithersburg, Maryland, campus, which was simultaneously webcast to participants across the country. The training allowed forensic DNA analysts to:
- Explore how the analytical threshold and stochastic threshold affect data analysis, interpretation, conclusions, and statistical calculations in mixed DNA profiles;
- Examine approaches for establishing analytical thresholds and stochastic thresholds for casework; and
- Enhance knowledge of mixture interpretation and presentation of results, conclusions, and opinions.

The video is divided into segments so users can easily find specific presentations of interest.
