A NIST poster presenting recent breakthroughs in nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) analysis of vapor mixtures was recently awarded “Best Poster” at the Practical Applications of NMR in Industry Conference (PANIC). Drs. Jason A. Widegren, Christopher L. Suiter, Mark O. McLinden, and Thomas J. Bruno of the Applied Chemicals and Materials Division (ACMD) were selected for the award for their poster titled “High-Accuracy Analysis of Gas-Phase Mixtures by 1H NMR: Application to Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium of Refrigerant Mixtures.”
Dr. Widegren presented the poster at the conference in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on March 3-7. PANIC is a relatively new conference with a focus on the latest developments in the use of NMR for real, practical problems, and it has a fairly equal mix of industry, regulatory, government, and academic scientists.
