The group is honored for distinguishing themselves through their actions on July 18, 2015, when they demonstrated exceptional leadership and unyielding moral conviction in responding to a most extraordinary incident involving a senior law enforcement supervisor. Exercising personal integrity and clear judgment, the group recognized the inconsistencies in the supervisor’s story and undertook actions to ensure that a full investigation occurred. Faced with this defining point in their careers, their actions exemplify their profession and have confirmed that the public trust placed in them is justified. Their courage, judgment and devotion to duty are most heartily commended and are in keeping with the highest traditions of first-responder professions.
