2017 Colleagues' Choice Award

Dr. Hagley is recognized for his exceptional technical skill and his generous willingness to make his expertise available to others at NIST, starting with those within his group and extending broadly to the division, the OU, and to NIST at large. He is especially known for his ability to provide clever solutions to complex problems in a wide variety of areas. The beneficiaries of his readily offered support represent a wide span of specialties, from a member of OSHE whom he helped to develop a NIST policy document for electrical safety (NIST N 7101.64) to a member of PML's Quantum Measurement Division whom he helped in the construction of high-speed electronic circuits for a cutting-edge experiment in quantum cryptography. Hagley's efforts have been invaluable in helping others surmount formidable challenges.
