Ms. Williams is recognized for exceptional contributions to experimental research and for being a valued colleague. She has significant accomplishments, such as the success of NIST's lead-free solder program and, more recently, research in superalloys and additive manufacturing. In addition to her own technical work, Williams regularly goes beyond the call of duty by assisting other scientists in performing experiments and generously sharing her expertise with colleagues, both inside and outside of MML's Materials Science and Engineering Division. She anticipates the needs of others and proactively assumes responsibility for the operational and data integrity of our shared resources. With the same devotion, her diligence and active support in several division safety roles have shown how one person can dramatically improve the culture of safety at NIST.
