Chandramouli is recognized for improving cloud computing by developing security recommendations for the core technologies in all cloud computing services. He developed secure configuration options for multiple areas of clouds where many mission-critical applications are run. Chandramouli analyzed security solutions for the use and deployment of these technologies in multiple environments and developed the metrics they must satisfy for security assurance requirements. He galvanized industry in adopting the baseline features to establish a set of comparable assurance metrics used globally.
