The group is recognized for designing and building a novel research system that applies NIST’s unique computational skills, tools, and expertise to better facilitate information flow among researchers and scientists (across different disciplines) in search of important COVID literature. This expansive research database was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as the scientific community was faced with a flood of information—and is a glowing example of a concentrated NIST effort that influenced the world in a profound way.
