2021 Distinguished Mentoring Award
AWARD CITATION
Dr. Lynch is recognized for her dedication to mentoring and inspiring over 60 students in the last 15-plus years at NIST. She continuously makes her mentees her priority, working weekends and late nights to help students achieve their goals. Dr. Lynch has mentored both students and NIST employees, helping them think critically through every step of their research, challenging and inspiring them to perform to NIST's high standards. She is not just a mentor for a short period of time but continues to work with and encourage past mentees throughout their careers. For all these reasons and more, there is no NIST employee more deserving of the NIST Distinguished Mentoring Award than Dr. Lynch.
