The group is recognized for the development of a validated test methodology to measure the impacts of newly deployed long-term evolution (LTE) commercial cellular equipment on existing DoD Test Range Aeronautical Mobile Telemetry (AMT) systems. They significantly improved on prior test methodology to measure interference and establish safe stand-off frequencies, developed an equivalent impact plot for easier interpretation by the community, and published a curated library of cellular emissions for future testing by the telemetry community.
