Ms. Karakas is recognized for her extensive technical knowledge, initiative, agility, professionalism and superior project management skills, resulting in the coding, testing, and delivery of the online Baldrige-Award-application evaluation tool (BRIDGE) in only eight months—after a contractor failed to produce the product in a full year. Without her efforts, critical changes to streamline the Baldrige-Award-application review process and improve feedback reports to award applicants could not have been made in 2022.
