Dr. Hight Walker is recognized for her boundless enthusiasm, energy, and success in promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at NIST. She has widened the availability of research opportunities to students from groups that historically have been less engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. She has been a leader and a major force in conferences, committees, and organizations for overcoming barriers to career advancement in science.
