2024 Gold Medal Award

AWARD CITATION

The group is honored for the design, construction, and deployment of CANDoR, the world's most capable neutron reflectometer, an exceptional new tool for characterizing the structural and magnetic properties of buried interfaces with sub-nanometer resolution. This instrument is yielding unique new insights into a wide range of technologies including biomembranes and biopharmaceuticals, nano-engineered materials for quantum information systems and other applications, advanced data storage, and batteries.
