AWARD CITATION

The group is recognized for exceptional leadership and technical innovation to reduce cybersecurity risk to the software supply chain on which the nation depends. Through vigorous collaboration with software developers, service providers, and users, the team developed guidance now mandated for the acquisition and use of software by federal agencies. This work has major and far-reaching impacts because it improves the security of software the federal government uses and, by extension, the security of software available for governments, companies, and individuals around the world.
