NIST invites your input on the newly released draft of its Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards, Release 4.0. Your comments can be submitted to smartgridframework [at] nist.gov (smartgridframework[at]nist[dot]gov) and will be used by NIST in completing revisions for the final, published version of the Framework.
This is NIST’s fourth framework informing America’s development of the smart grid under the provisions of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. Key sections in Framework 4.0 include:
This draft version of Framework 4.0 was developed with input from smart grid stakeholders ranging from utilities, vendors, and equipment manufacturers, to renewable power producers, retail service providers, and regulators. Insights from community experts were gathered through a national and regional workshop series. Now, NIST invites you to evaluate the information that has emerged and provide your input.
