Charlezetta Stokes (Assoc)

Charlezetta Wilson-Stokes is a National Science Foundation’s Partnerships for Research and Education in Materials (PREM) postdoctoral research associate in the Fundamental Electrical Measurements Group in Gaithersburg, MD. She is interested in all things spectroscopy, particularly standardization of spectroscopic techniques for characterization of novel materials. She is currently working on a project to characterize carbon allotropes (graphene, fullerenes, etc.) using Raman spectroscopic techniques and looks forward to participating in metrological surveys to optimize and develop best practices for such characterization.

She received her Ph.D. in Physics from Howard University for her research using Attenuated Total Reflection (ATR) spectroscopy to probe surface phonon polaritons in gel/SiO2 nanocomposites. Applications of her work include composite systems used to control thermal conductance.
