Bronze Medal Awards Given To 33 Local Residents

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has presented the Bronze Medal Award, the highest honorary recognition available from the institute to 33 local NIST employees.

The award recognizes work that has resulted in more effective and efficient management systems as well as the demonstration of unusual initiative or creative ability in the development and improvement of methods or procedures. Initiated in 1966, the award is also given for significant contributions affecting major programs, scientific accomplishment within the institute, and superior performance of assigned tasks for at least five consecutive years.
