Federal Computer Security Managers Forum Offsite

The Federal Computer Security Program Managers' Forum (Forum) is an informal group sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to promote the sharing of information system security information among federal, State, and Higher Education employees. The Forum hosts the Federal Agency Security Practices website, maintains an extensive e-mail list, and holds bi-monthly meetings to discuss current issues and items of interest to those responsible for protecting non-national security systems. 

This meeting is open to only federal, state, higher education employees, and their designated support contractors. Registrants must use a .gov, .mil., .edu email address for sign-up.  Support contractors must indicate the agency or organization they support.  Government IDs will be required for meeting entrance.

*New Visitor Access Requirement: Effective July 21, 2014, Under the REAL ID Act of 2005, agencies, including NIST, can only accept a state-issued driver’s license or identification card for access to federal facilities if issued by states that are REAL ID compliant or have an extension. As of Monday, January 30, 2017, Federal agencies will be prohibited from accepting driver’s licenses and identification cards from the following states for accessing federal facilities: Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana and Washington.
