Heather Evans

Heather Evans is the senior program analyst in the NIST Program Coordination Office, where she leads a variety of planning, program and policy efforts. After earning a Ph.D. in materials science from the University of California Santa Barbara, Heather spent several years in Germany as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2008, Heather came to Washington, D.C., as an AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow to learn about science policy and never turned back. She’s spending the summer of 2020 staying in virtual touch with friends, trying out a variety of workout apps, and focusing on her tomato and basil plants.
