Noah Last is the Scientific Partnerships Manager in NIST’s Circular Economy Program, where he coordinates NIST metrology expertise to help U.S. industries be competitive in a circular economy. Specific activities include:
- managing the release of the NIST Circular Economy Resource Registry for circular economy standards,
- conducting research in circular product design and the LCA-circularity nexus,
- technical point of contact for the NIST Training for Improving Plastics Circularity (TIPC) Grant Program, and
- supporting the development of industry-led standards that help businesses transition into a circular economy.
He is an active member of ASTM's manufacturing (E60.13), plastics (D20), and textiles (D13) committees and chairs the ISO circular economy committee (TC 323).
