Title of Talk: No Passport Required: NIST’s International Cybersecurity and Privacy Work, Explained…

ABSTRACT:

NIST’s cybersecurity and privacy priorities and approaches are developed to emphasize the global collaborative context of today’s borderless world economies. As a result of widespread international use, multiple translations and adaptations of NIST cybersecurity and privacy resources now exist; this solid foundation is continuing to expand NIST’s impact as our opportunities for engagement and collaboration grow. 

This informative presentation will focus on how NIST engages internationally on the cybersecurity and privacy front and will feature examples of bilateral and multilateral engagement, translations and adaptations of NIST resources, and NIST’s contributions to international standards development. Attendees will also hear success stories and learn how NIST resources have been used to help improve cybersecurity globally.

BIO:

Amy Mahn

Amy Mahn is an international policy specialist in the NIST Applied Cybersecurity Division.  Amy’s primary focus in this role is support of the international aspects and alignment of the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity. Amy previously worked eleven years at the Department of Homeland Security in various roles, including international policy coordination in cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection within the National Protection and Programs Directorate and the Office of Cyber, Infrastructure and Resilience Policy.
