Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched the Job Quality Toolkit, which provides strategies and actions to help small-and-medium-sized organizations recruit and retain a high-performing workforce. The toolkit also includes eight case studies of organizations that have committed to increasing the quality of the jobs they offer.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo unveiled the toolkit at a roundtable with U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh and business, labor and nonprofit leaders. Secretary Raimondo led a discussion on improving job quality, partnership strategies with business leaders to deploy the toolkit and metrics of success.
“Good jobs are a cornerstone of President Biden’s economic agenda,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. “Job quality is not just about the job; it is a combination of key drivers that are important to each worker’s overall employment experience. Small-and-medium-sized employers are at the heart of our economy, and those that create high-quality jobs have a clear competitive advantage.”
The Job Quality Toolkit is rooted in the Baldrige Excellence Framework.
