The Challenge
BSP consisted of a 78,000-square-foot production facility and a 77,000-square-foot warehouse, separated by a half mile. The frequent truck trips between these locations, compounded by the need for additional resources, resulted in significant operational inefficiencies. BSP sought the assistance of MMA-MEP’s affiliate center, Mississippi State University CAVS Extension (CAVS-E), , part of the MEP National Network™, to evaluate their current manufacturing and warehouse space and make recommendations on layout designs to improve the efficiencies within their organization.
