The NIST Grants Management Division (GMD) and the Business Operations Office (BOO) are being recognized for collaborating with NTIA to support the presidential administration's initiative of connecting all Americans to affordable and high-speed Internet. The NIST group and NTIA have streamlined the financial assistance grant awarding process for the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD), reducing the processing time to 26 business days. This represents a 40% decrease from the average processing time.
