The TREC Workshop is open to Individual participants and teams. Each year, we invite teams to register in the Spring and present results at the conference in November. In person slots are limited and will take place from November 18-22, 2024, at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) in Rockville, Maryland.
TREC is an annual evaluation workshop series hosted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The workshop's goal is to encourage research in information retrieval by providing large test collections, uniform scoring procedures, and a forum for organizations interested in comparing their results. This year, TREC tracks included Activities in Extended Video (ActEV), Ad-hoc Video Search (AVS), AToMiC Track, Biomedical Generative Retrieval (BioGen), Computational Cultural Understanding (CCU), Interactive Knowledge Assistance Track (iKAT), Lateral Reading, Medical Video Question Answering (MedVidQA), NeuCLIR Track, Plain Language Adaptation of Biomedical Abstracts (PLABA), Product Search Track, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Recognizing Ultra Fine-grained Entities, Events, and Relations (RUFEERS), and Tip-of-the-Tongue Track, Video-to-Text (VTT).
Who should attend the conference?
Workshop participants are highly encouraged to those who took part in TREC 2024 tracks. More information about the TREC program can be found on the TREC project page, https://trec.nist.gov/
