Driving Growth Through Innovation: Push Plastics' Journey to Success

About

Push Plastic is a manufacturer of high-quality 3D printer filament located in Springdale, Arkansas. The company currently operates twelve production lines. Known for their innovation and commitment to quality, Push Plastic is dedicated to supporting the additive manufacturing industry with reliable and consistent filament products.

The Challenge

Push Plastic recognized the need to establish a quality management system (QMS) to ensure continued growth and maintain the highest standards of product quality. As the company prepared to scale its operations, they wanted to better understand the requirements and best practices of ISO 9001:2015 to guide their QMS development and implementation. To address this knowledge gap, they sought professional training from Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions (AMS), part of the MEP National Network™, on the standard's framework and practical applications.
The ISO 9001:2015 management overview workshop provided by AMS was exactly what we needed to prepare for our QMS journey. The trainer explained the standard in a clear and actionable way, and we now have a strong foundation to move forward with confidence. This experience not only helped us understand the requirements of ISO 9001 but also gave us practical steps to enhance our operations. We're excited about the opportunities this knowledge opens up for us as we grow.
— Nick Booth, CEO

MEP's Role

To meet this need, an ISO 9001:2015 management overview workshop was conducted by an AEDC-AMS ISO specialist. The workshop provided a detailed yet concise review of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard. Key topics covered included the ISO 9001 structure, definitions, concepts, and requirements, as well as practical guidance on implementing best practices. This training equipped Push Plastic with the tools to assess the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of their existing processes. The specialist also developed a project plan outlining necessary updates to align with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Following the training, Push Plastic successfully implemented a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001:2015. The company entering their ISO 9001:2015 audit well-prepared and confident in their ability to demonstrate compliance.
