On Friday, April 12, 2013, NIST will host a free, one-day workshop on interpreting forensic DNA mixtures in casework. Participants may attend this workshop hosted at the NIST Gaithersburg, Maryland campus or view via live webcast. Participants will be able to obtain a certificate of completion.
The workshop will help DNA analysts, technical reviewers, and technical leaders understand why mixtures are difficult to interpret, what approaches other jurisdictions and countries are using to decipher complex mixtures, how validation studies should guide the development of mixture interpretation protocols, and appropriate statistical approaches to interpretation.
Additional information and registration will be available soon on the conference website.
