NIST Tours

Due to staffing and security requirements, NIST no longer offers tours for the general public.

  • We are not able to offer student tours at this time. This page will be updated if we are once again able to host student tours in the future.
  • NIST Gaithersburg is not able to offer tours on campus at this time. We will update this page if tours become available again.

A minimum of four weeks advance notice is required for all tour requests.

  • For tour requests of NIST's Gaithersburg campus, contact the NIST Public Affairs Office at (301) 975-2758.

  • Tours of NIST's Boulder campus are currently offered only on a case-by-case basis. Contact rebecca.jacobson [at] nist.gov (Rebecca Jacobson) and terri.viezbicke [at] nist.gov (Terri Viezbicke) with your request.

  • NIST does not routinely provide scheduled tours for international visitors. However, specific technical meetings may be accommodated. Contact Joy Brooks with the International and Academic Affairs Office at (301) 975-3071.

All visitors to NIST must follow the campus access and security procedures.
