Abstract

Adding automation to your materials declaration process will set, simplify, and streamline the materials declaration process. Whether your company is a component supplier, board manufacturer or assembly services company, the structure of how you manage materials declaration information can be a complex and frustrating issue; however, it doesn't need to be. This webcast takes the participants from the original data models used in the development of the IPC-175X standards and explains, in layman's terms, the techniques used to facilitate a smooth and functional system that may be used to export information to customers or capture data for providing a depository that can have easy access should a report be needed or new information be added to the vault. This webcast is not a sales pitch, as the presenters have assisted the standardization process through a clear evaluation of computer methodology and what can be done, even by the smallest company, to effectively create and operate a management system. The discussions are a must for anyone caught in the concepts of defining a strategy for data capture and reporting.
