Abstract
We examined the emissions, and performance of commercial High-Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (HF RFID) systems to interrupt and eavesdropping. These proximity RFID systems are used in an increasing number of financial, identification, and access control applications. Investigations into detectability and readability of a transaction at a distance were performed. The measurements were performed to determine the power radiated by commercial systems and their performance in adverse electromagnetic (E) environments.Conference Dates
