Abstract

We report on the synthesis of PbTiO3-CoFe2)4 (PTO-CFO) multiferroic nanocomposite and continuous turning of their ferroic properties as a function of composition on thin-film composition spreads. Highest dielectric constant and non-linear dielectric signal was observed at PTO85-CFO15, where robust magnetism was also observed. Varieties of the properties indicate presence of interdiffusion of the cations in to each other. magnetization of the material decreases PTO as more. Transmission electron microscopy revealed pancake-shaped epitaxial nano-structure of PTO on order of 30 nm embedded in the matrix of CFO at this composition.
