Safety Education and Training (SET) Program

This suborder defines the requirements and associated roles and responsibilities for safety training at NIST. The goal is to make staff aware of potential hazards they may be exposed to while carrying out their official duties and actions that can be taken to eliminate or reduce exposure to these hazards. The first-level supervisor or sponsor identifies the appropriate safety training based on considerations like assigned duties, role, and relevant hazard reviews.
